China's Successful Launch of the "Jilin-1 SAR01A Satellite

      At 7:33(Beijing time)on September 25,2024, China successfully launched the Jilin-1 SAR01A Satellite from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center using the Kinetica 1 RS-4 Commercial Rocket Launcher. The satellite was successfully placed in the intended orbit, and the launch mission achieved a complete success.

      The Jilin-1 SAR01A Satellite is the first microwave remote sensing satellite independently researched and developed by Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co.,Ltd.. The satellite is configured with an X-band synthetic aperture radar payload, with an orbital operating height of 515 kilometers, and provides high-resolution radar image data.

      The successful development of the Jilin-1 SAR01A Satellite marks a new technological breakthrough in the field of satellite design and manufacturing of Chang Guang Satellite, and after the satellite is orbited, it will effectively enhance the all-day, all-weather earth observation capability of the Jilin-1 SAR01A Satellite, which has significant significance in expanding the application scenarios of remote sensing data and ensuring the timeliness of data acquisition.

      This mission is the 29th launch of the Jilin-1 satellite project.
